Touching ceremony held at A. A. Wright Public School in Wallaceburg to honour Crystal Babbitt (Video)

A touching ceremony was held at A. A. Wright Public School in Wallaceburg on Friday, April 27, 2024 in honor of Mrs. Crystal Babbitt.

Members of the school and local community gathered to dedicate a bench to Mrs. Babbitt, a beloved teacher who passed away unexpectedly in January 2023 and was known for her tireless dedication to the betterment of the school.

“Mrs. Babbitt, who spent over a decade as a teacher at A. A. Wright Public School, touched the lives of countless students and families with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to education,” school officials said on social media.

“Amidst heartfelt speeches, the bench — a symbol of her enduring impact — was unveiled. This bench will be positioned outside of her former office where students gather throughout the day. As the community continues to cherish her memory, the dedication of this bench stands as a testament to Mrs. Babbitt’s lasting influence and the profound gratitude felt by those whose lives she touched.”
