Traffic stop in Tilbury leads to impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning an officer on general patrol in the area of Queens Line in Tilbury conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.

Through investigation the officer believed the male driver was driving while impaired by alcohol.

The male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests.

The 33-year old male of St. Thomas was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and was later released with a future court date of May 13, 2024
