The annual Wallaceburg 4-on-4 Shootout basketball tournament is being held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.
“It’s that time of year,” said Wallaceburg’s Nick Persyn, organizer for the tournament.
“This is a co-ed event and the entry fee is $40 with a cash prize for first and second place. The draft is held May 17 at 8 p.m. and games start the next morning at 8 a.m. During the day we will be breaking for lunch with the playoffs at the end of the day.”
Persyn added this year they will be fundraising for the Sloan family.
“Their 3-year-old daughter Celine is fighting a brain disease called Polymicrogyria and they can use our help with all associated costs,” he said.
“Come out for a fun day of basketball.”
