Probation violation in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 4:45 p.m., police began investigating a probation violation in Blenheim.

Police received information the man attended an address he was prohibited from attending outlined in a probation order.

An officer attended the area, located the man a short distance away and confirmed he was also wanted on a surety relief warrant.

The 31-year-old Windsor man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

He is currently facing the following charges: possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
