Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 12:14 p.m., police responded to a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for an assault investigation.
The woman involved had previously been banned from the business but entered anyway and refused to leave when asked by the employees.
This led to a physical altercation, resulting in minor injuries to one of the employees.
The woman left the scene before the police arrived but was found nearby shortly after.
When the officers tried to arrest her, she attempted to flee, leading to a short pursuit on foot.
The 32-year-old Chatham Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing.
She is currently facing the following charges: assault causing bodily harm, escape lawful custody, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
