Bail violations laid in Shrewsbury and Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:04 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Wellington Street East in Chatham. Upon arrival, officers learned the man was on conditions not to associate with his ex-spouse that lived at the Wellington Street East residence. The 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of July 15, 2024. He has been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 11, 2024, at 12:05 a.m., police responded to Talbot Street in Shrewsbury to investigate suspicious activity. Information was received the woman attempted to enter a home. Officers arrived on the scene and located the woman. Officers confirmed the woman was wanted on outstanding warrants for several investigations. The 27-year-old Chatham Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: mischief, failing to comply with an undertaking, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
