Business of the Week
Featuring: Mark and Sarah’s No Frills – Wallaceburg
The Chamber of Commerce recently had the pleasure of meeting with Mark and Sarah from No Frills in Wallaceburg.
Mark and Sarah Popieul, both owners of No Frills, took over ownership of the store in August of 2019 and will be celebrating their 5 years this fall.
Mark Popieul, who grew up in Wallaceburg, came back to our town after 18 years of being away to fulfill his goal of being a store owner. Mark disclosed with us that he used to be an employee at No Frills under the first owners in Wallaceburg back in the early 2000’s.
Mark and Sarah strive to give back to their community by being involved in the local sports games, such as lacrosse and soccer, being present to give out freezies to the kids who participate.
Mark and Sarah are big supporters of Wallaceburg’s Salvation army and look to give back to them whenever they can. Supporting their events and having salvation army donations set up at the store.
Mark and Sarah also believe in the teaching of young adults, dealing with money and financing, by providing educational tours and presentations to our local schools. Mark attends the Wallaceburg District Secondary School each semester to give presentations to our entrepreneurship students about how to run a business.
At No Frills, the team strives to make friendly connections with all customers while giving them good deals!
