Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 6:29 p.m., police responded to a business on Third Street in Chatham for a disturbance.
Upon arrival officers learned a female youth engaged in a verbal argument with a woman that escalated when the youth pushed the woman to the ground.
The 16-year-old Chatham youth was arrested and released with a future court date.
She was charged with assault.
