Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10 a.m., the woman attended the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. The woman was wanted on outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a number of incidents, including a drug investigation and shoplifting investigations in Chatham. The 33-year-old Chatham Kent woman was arrested and held pending a bail hearing. She faced the following charges: two counts of theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of failing to attend court and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. As a result, she was released by the court with conditions and a future court date of July 15, 2024.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 7:21 p.m., police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Pine Street in Chatham. As a result, officers located the woman and confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to make a court appearance in relation to bail violations. The 28-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released with a new court date of July 29, 2024.
