CK Can Jam adds two new guest artists from Montreal

Excitement is growing around the upcoming CK Can Jam event with the addition of two new guest artists from Montreal.

Thanks to Montana Cans Canada, they are sending street artists Nic (aka Chaliftat2) and Adik (aka UCAQC) to join the group of now 11 renowned artists that will be ascending upon downtown Chatham.

These artists are coming from across North America and as far as Australia to participate in Chatham-Kent’s first ever Street Art event being held between July 15th to the 20th.

“We are amazed with the level of support from both the street art community and Chatham-Kent” said organizer Sarah Tucker-Steel.

Information on the artists participating in the CK Can Jam can be found at ckcanjam.ca and updates are being posted regularly to Instagram and Facebook under @CKCanJam.

“We’re excited to be a part of this; these murals are huge and will be visible for years,” says Rob Shepanowski, sponsor and owner of Impact Graphics, in a media release. “What a great return on investment, our mural will be seen by thousands of people every year. When you look at the monthly price to rent a regular billboard in CK many of them are $1500.00-2000.00, a general sponsorship for one of these murals is less than renting a billboard for two months.”

As community support and curiosity builds around this unique arts event; the organizers would like to let everyone know there are still sponsorship opportunities of any level available for businesses, organizations, or individuals.

“After the paint dries, and all the artists head to their next gig; Downtown Chatham will be left with a beautiful gift. We are thankful to the groups, individual residents and businesses who believe in CK Can Jam as much as we do,” Tucker-Steel stated, in a media release.

“We still have a bit more to go in regards to finding sponsors as every little bit helps.”

Everyone is encouraged to explore downtown to watch the artists in action as they create these massive murals.

With canvas being a 60ft vertical wall, it will be impressive to watch as 2 artists collaborate from great heights.

A CK Can Jam wrap up will happen on Friday, July 20 with a free after-party at Son’s Of Kent Brewery from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. where people can meet the artists, and get up close with a live, interactive, art experience for the public to enjoy.
