Virtual meetings scheduled to discuss community housing options in Chatham-Kent

Chatham-Kent Housing Services is hosting two virtual live events to share information about community housing options and how people can apply and seek support if they need assistance.

The event will be hosted by Phillip Mock from Vision Us, featuring expert speaker Beth Earley, Municipal officials say.

The events will take place July 30, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and August 1, 2024 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Both event will be livestreamed on the Municipality’s Facebook page and YouTube channels.

“Information will be provided about access to safe, sustainable, and affordable housing,” Municipal officials said in a media release.

“This includes Rent Geared to Income (RGI) housing, affordable housing, Portable Housing Benefits (PHB’s) and programming to assist homeowners. Renting, tenants, and landlords will not be discussed during these specific events.”
