OPP officials allege: Police arrested a driver for impaired driving at the Bluewater Bridge in the Village of Point Edward.
On July 27, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a uniform member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was requested to attend Bluewater Bridge, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), regarding a possible impaired driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 61-year-old man from Fort Gratiot, Michigan, has been charged with the following:
– Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 12, 2024, in the City of Sarnia.
