Update: The rainfall warning has ended in Chatham-Kent.
A rainfall warning has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as rain, at times heavy, is expected.
“A nearly stationary thunderstorm is located near Grande Point and is producing locally heavy rainfall,” Environment Canada officials say.
Forecasters say hazards., include: Local rainfall amounts near 50 mm this afternoon.

“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” forecasters added.
“Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.”
