Well-being check in Ridgetown leads to pubic intoxication charge

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 2:59 p.m., police responded to Main Street East in Ridgetown to conduct a well-being check on the man.

Information was received the man had been screaming for an extended period of time.

Officers attended and found the man intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 45-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held until he was sober.
