Call to police leads to public intoxication charge in Erieau

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 23, 2024 an intoxicated 45-year-old Erieau man called 911 to speak with police.

Due to his apparent intoxication, members of the Chatham-Kent Police attended his location to complete a well-being check.

The man was belligerent with officers and was heavily intoxicated.

Due the man’s lack of ability to care for himself and impairment by alcohol he was arrested.

The man was released when sober.
