Community Living Chatham-Kent donates ‘Food Crawl’ proceeds to Craig Spence Memorial Golf Tournament & CK Gay Pride Association

Community Living Chatham-Kent is delighted to announce that a portion of proceeds from our annual Food Crawl event has been allocated to support two vital local initiatives.

This year, we proudly contributed to the Craig Spence Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting the newly established Scholarship Fund in Craig’s honor. Craig’s loss was deeply felt within our organization and the community, and we are honored to contribute to this meaningful cause in his memory.

Additionally, we are proud to support the CK Gay Pride Association as a Gold Sponsor for CK Pride Week. As part of our sponsorship, we participated in the CK Pride parade and festival.

“This year’s donation choices highlight our organization’s unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring equitable opportunities for everyone in our community,” said Jenny McGregor, Manager of Community Relations.

Nathan Dawthorne, VP of CK Pride, was instrumental in ensuring that our sponsorship funds were utilized where they were most needed. “Contributions from our 2024 CK Pride sponsors help cover the costs for hosting our celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ persons (& allies), as well as events for community building, networking, and awareness during our August Pride Week tradition.”

Through our support of these causes, Community Living Chatham-Kent reaffirms its commitment to building a more inclusive and supportive community for everyone.
