A Wallaceburg ‘Night Paddle’ is taking place on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Anyone interested in participating can meet at Whimsies Paddle Rental at the fountain in downtown Wallaceburg.
Whimsies will also be open before the paddle begins for anyone wanting to rent gear. Anyone wishing to rent equipment for the paddle are encouraged to do so early and in advance.

Ryan Strong, who will be the guide for the night paddle, said the paddle will launch at 7 p.m. from the water at Whimsies.
“You don’t have to stay the full three hours,” Strong said.
“These paddles are to help engage people to relax and hangout with others.”
Strong is encouraging paddlers to bring kayak safety gear, including life jacket, 15 metre (50 foot) rope, lights for kayak and a bailing bucket, along with food and water for yourself.
