Vehicle window punched in Chatham, public intoxication charge laid

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at approximately 2:30 a.m., police observed an intoxicated man in the area of Queen Street in Chatham.

Police observed the man acting aggressively and punch a side window of a vehicle on the roadway.

When approached by police the man fled on foot but was quickly caught.

The 29-year-old Chatham man was arrested for Mischief and Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.

The man was later released from custody with a future court date.
