Jenkins, Peters and Taylor added to CKHA Board of Directors

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has welcomed Sally Jenkins, Clint Peters and David Taylor to the organization’s Board of Directors.

All three assumed their posts at the organization’s Annual Meeting held on August 22, 2024, hospital officials say.

Sally Jenkins is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and advisory roles.

Currently serving as the Manager of Clinical Operations at Chatham-Kent Hospice, she brings a wealth of knowledge from her broad and progressively senior experience in hospice, healthcare and clinical environments.

Previously, Jenkins held the position of Director at Bluewater Health, where she managed all aspects of Surgical Programs, Endoscopy, Maternal Infant and Child (MIC), Ambulatory Care, Oncology and Medical Device Reprocessing. Her other previous leadership roles include Program Manager at Bluewater Health, and Clinical Manager and Interim Program Director at CKHA.

Early in her career, she served as a Pediatric Educator, Pediatric Charge Nurse and Float Nurse.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the College of Nurses of Ontario, Canadian Nurses Association, Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders, The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the Canadian Palliative Care Nursing Association.

Clint Peters, a dedicated member of Bkejwanong Walpole Island First Nation, is currently serving his fifth term as an elected Councillor.

With a longstanding commitment to his community, Peters has managed the health portfolio for many years and has played an integral role in various committees and health forums for the Independent First Nations.

His 47-year career with the First Nation stands as a testament to his dedication and service, with his most recent role being with Walpole Algonac Ferry Ltd.

Peters is also a devoted family man, married with two adult children, and takes great pride in supporting and cheering on the youth of Bkejwanong in their athletic endeavors.

His passion for representing and advocating for his community shines through in all aspects of his work.

David Taylor has an extensive background in law, currently serving as the Director of Legal Services for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

His career at the Municipality includes previous roles as Manager of Legal Services, Senior Legal Officer and Solicitor.

Before joining the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, he worked as a Solicitor for Sanders Cline LLP.

Taylor earned a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Ottawa, a Juris Doctor from Western University and a Masters of Public Administration.
