Failing to attend court charges stemming from drug trafficking arrest in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 23, 2023, the man was arrested and charged during the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substance Warrant on Regent Street in Blenheim.

He was released with conditions and a future court date. When the man failed to attend court for a scheduled court appearance a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On September 15, 2024, at 8:81 a.m., the man was located on Thames Street in Chatham. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition while prohibited, two counts of failing to comply with a release order and two counts of failing to attend court.

As a result of the bail hearing, he was released by the court with a scheduled court appearance of September 19, 2024.
