Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 18, 2024, police began a threats investigation in Chatham.
Investigation revealed the man and the woman engaged in a verbal argument over a texting app resulting in the man leaving several voicemail messages.
During the exchange, the man made several comments indicating he would cause harm to the woman and another individual.
On September 19, 2024, at 9:35 a.m., the man was located and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of October 21, 2024.
He has been charged with four counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and one count of uttering threats to destroy or cause damage to property.
