Chatham twin sisters Kat and Karissa Strain are set to premiere their new film ‘Call of the Blackbird’ in their hometown next month.
“My sister and I shot a film in town last summer,” Kat told the Sydenham Current.
“It’s about Chatham and features a lot of local places and faces (the mayor, Dave Palmer from CFCO, even our own parents!) We are hosting its world premiere screening at the Capitol Theatre next month (on October 11) and want to give the town a little taste of Hollywood by making it an exciting red carpet event with an after party to celebrate our small city on the big screen.”
Kat added: “It felt important to share it with the city that inspired it before we head to LA for its US premiere at the LA Femme International Film Festival and it gets picked up for distribution!”
