Traffic stop in St. Clair Township results in impaired driving charges

Lambton OPP officials allege: On September 27, 2024, at 8:40 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Baseline Road in St. Clair Township.

As a result of the investigation a 64-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 4, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charge.
