‘Tiny Tot Trick-or-Treat hour’ being held during the Haunted Museum festivities in Wallaceburg

The Wallaceburg & District Museum is preparing for its annual transformation into “The Haunted Museum,” a beloved community tradition each October.

This year, a new addition will be introduced to the Halloween festivities: the Tiny Tot Trick-or-Treat hour, offering a family-friendly experience for young children and their families.

The museum’s event will feature dim lighting, friendly volunteers, and candy stations spread throughout the museum’s spooky halls.

Volunteers will help guide children and families as they explore the Haunted Museum and participate in interactive activities.

To ensure the success of the event, the museum is seeking donations of individually wrapped candy or other treats from local businesses and individuals.

Donations will help supply candy bags for the anticipated large turnout. In return for their contributions, donors will have their business or group recognized at each candy station, with a sign acknowledging the donation, as well as mentions on social media. Donors’ logos will also be displayed on the door during all event nights.

The museum also invites local businesses to participate by dressing up in costume and engaging with the community during the event.

If extra candy remains after the event, the museum plans to distribute it at the final Haunted Museum night and donate any leftovers to the local Santa Claus Parade.

For more information or to arrange a donation, interested parties can contact event organizer Leesa Ervin at the museum by phone at (519) 627-8962 or by email at museumpr@kent.net.

Monetary donations are also welcome, and receipts can be provided.
