Victoria Horrobin, from Wallaceburg, earned First-Team All-Ontario honors for St. Clair College at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Provincial Championships, finishing 6th with a time of 25:31 over the 6km course.
This achievement highlights her outstanding performance at the event, held Saturday at Seneca Polytechnic’s King Campus in King City, Ontario, where 16 OCAA schools competed.
Despite a strong showing, the St. Clair College Cross Country team missed the podium for the first time since 2015. The women’s team placed 4th among 10 schools, while the men finished 5th out of 12 teams.
Victoria and her teammates are now preparing for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships, which will take place at Windsor’s Malden Park on November 9.
This event will bring together top runners from the OCAA, Alberta Colleges Athletic Association, Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association, and Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec.
