On Friday, October 25, the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation hosted its 7th Annual Benefit Gala, raising $133,068 to support end-of-life hospice care in Chatham-Kent.
The sold-out event offered guests an elegant evening of fine dining, an auction, and a moving speech from a local family about their experience at Chatham-Kent Hospice.
“Our sincere thanks to all guests who attended and to our kind sponsors, especially our Title Sponsor, Victory Lincoln. Your generosity ensures local families will continue to have access to residential hospice care, as well as grief and bereavement support, at no cost to them. A special thank you to our guest speaker for sharing their family’s Hospice journey, helping us understand the impact of supporting the Gala,” said Ginny Hawken, Special Event Chair at the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, in a media release.
Adding to the excitement was the Golden Ticket raffle, where 100 guests competed to win an auction experience and tickets to next year’s Gala.
The lucky winner, Anne English, selected the Toronto Maple Leaf package generously donated by Enbridge Gas.
A returning highlight, the popular Mittons Jewellers Diamond Draw, featured a beautiful diamond bracelet, won by Dawn Campbell.
The proceeds from the Benefit Gala will cover ongoing operational needs for the community’s residential hospice, ensuring families continue to receive compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.
