Peacefully, with her family by her side, Sharon passed away at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy.
Daughter of the late Beulah and Raymond Kalar. Mother of Denise McFee (Gord) and Ken Ritchie (Gracy). Proud and loving grandmother to Lidia Druer (Austin), Parker McFee (Nikki), Kadin Ritchie (Keely), Riley McFee (Dee), and Josh McFee (Kayla).
Sharon will be remembered for her love and dedication to family and friends. She spent the last 5 years at Sprucedale Care Centre where she kept herself very busy advocating for residents by being an intricate part of the “Activity” team. She ensured that there was fabulous entertainment and lectures for all residents to enjoy.
While at Sprucedale, Sharon would often greet the entertainers or representatives of a particular lecture and share some warm closing remarks and thanks for providing their knowledge or talent on behalf of the residents. She was also involved in the resident council committee which enabled her to voice resident questions or concerns which would further enhance their experience at Sprucedale Care Centre.
She was also apart of the dining enhancement committee where she was certain to listen to resident requests and try to add one of their favourite food items to the menu. Sharon loved her home, and always made new residents feel welcome as they transitioned into long term care.
The family of Sharon want to thank the staff of Sprucedale Care Centre for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion during her stay there, as she truly felt it was her home.
