Due to emergency repairs being made by CN Rail to the railway crossing on Grand Avenue East near Highway 40, that section of the road will be temporarily closed for through traffic, removing access to highway 40 via Grand Ave.
The closure is expected to last until Saturday at 5pm, and updates will be posted as CN provides further details on the repair work, Municipal officials say.
There are detour signs posted to guide residents around the closure, and mobile illuminated signs are already active in the area to notify drivers of the closure.
