Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 17, 2024, at 2:49 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Grand Avenue East/Longwoods Road and Communication Road in Chatham. The collision involved three vehicles.
A vehicle traveling east on Grand Avenue East veered into the left turning lane as it approached the intersection.
It collided with a vehicle waiting to turn left.
The vehicle continued through the intersection to the westbound traffic lane, striking a second vehicle waiting at the red light.
One driver was transported to a the hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for medical treatment.
The vehicle was towed and secured for further investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
