Ontario parents can streamline the process of registering their newborns through ServiceOntario’s 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle, which allows for the registration of births and applications for essential documents, such as birth certificates and Social Insurance Numbers, all in one convenient step.

“Welcoming a new baby and choosing a name is one of life’s most meaningful milestones,” said Todd McCarthy, Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, in a media release.

“Our government is dedicated to helping new parents focus on these special moments rather than paperwork. With ServiceOntario’s 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle, we’ve made it easier for Ontario parents to handle these tasks from the comfort of their homes.”

Parents are reminded to register their child’s birth within 30 days of welcoming their newborn.

ServiceOntario’s 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle, launched in 2007, was the first service of its kind in Canada.

Around 120,000 births are registered annually using this service.

ServiceOntario offers over 55 online services, including newborn registration and child health card renewals, accessible 24/7.
