Failing to attend court & erratic behaviour in Chatham leads to arrests

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: 10 arrests were made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.

On January 8, 2025, at 2:41 p.m., during the execution of a fire investigation on Murray Street in Chatham, a 29-year-old man was found to have unendorsed warrants for Fail to Attend Court.

He was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held for bail.

In a separate incident just after midnight on January 9, 2025, a 32-year-old man at Third St. Chatham generated four calls for police service due to his erratic behaviour.

Police officers arrested him for Mischief and Cause Disturbance.

He was also transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, processed, and held for bail.
