Family Literacy Day takes place every January 27 to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
Chatham-Kent Public Library encourages everyone to take time every day to read or do a learning activity with children as it is crucial to a child’s development.
Join the library for any of the following programs:
Chatham Branch is offering Dog Man-themed activities for some paw-sitively awesome fun on Monday, January 27 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Tilbury Branch invites you to celebrate the theme “Learn to be Green, Together” with a themed craft, activity and scavenger hunt from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Drop-in to Ridgetown Branch between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm for some Literacy Fun with Bluey games and activities.
Drop-in to Merlin Branch between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm to create a personalized bookmark and do a book-themed scavenger hunt.
Drop-in to Highgate Branch between 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm to play Bluey games and activities.
Stop by the Tilbury and Wheatley branches to have a Blind Date with a book. Pick the book with the description that appeals to you the most and see how it goes!
Programs are free to attend and everyone is welcome!
