On Tuesday, February 18, the semifinals and finals (LKSSAA) secondary curling games took place at the Sydenham Community Curling Club.
In the boys division, the St. Pat’s high school team from Sarnia took first place.
In the girls division the WDSS girls first place.
The WDSS Tartan Varsity Girls Curling team includes:
– Abby Riedl-skip
– Robyn Mikhaila and Sakeenah Shamalishsham – Vices
– Leah Lalonde – Second
– Ely Hazen and Brihanna Williams – Leads
Williams was unable to participate on Feb. 18 due to illness.
Coaches include: Kirt Boyes, Tracy BridgeArnold, and Tim Dolbear.
“Our girls team is made up of five new curlers and one experienced curler who is playing the role of skip for the first time this season,” BridgeArnold said.
