OPP officials allege: Members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a death of an infant in Point Edward.
On February 22, 2025, at approximately 1:23 a.m., emergency services responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at a residence on St. Clair Street.
The infant was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased.
The investigation is being conducted by the Lambton OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
