Progressive Conservative candidate Steve Pinsonneault was re-elected as MPP in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex during Thursday’s, February 27, 2025, general election.
Also, the PC Party of Ontario, led by Premier Doug Ford, cruised to a majority win across Ontario.
Pinsonneault easily won in his riding, gathering 25,297 votes for 53.55% of the vote total.
“Thank you Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, I’m so honoured to be your Member of Provincial Parliament,” Pinsonneault shared on social media.
“I’m ready to Protect Ontario and protect Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.”
He was 12,900 votes ahead of the runner-up Cathy Burghardt-Jesson of Ontario Liberal Party, who gathered 12,397 votes or 26.24% of the vote.
Kathryn Shailer of the Ontario NDP finished third with 5,779 votes or 12.23%.
Andy Fisher of New Blue Party was next with 2,093 votes, with Andraena Tilgner of the Green Party of Ontario gathering 1,677 votes.
In Chatham-Kent-Leamington, PC candidate Trevor Jones was re-elected with 22,250 votes or 52.02% of the vote, a total of 14,394 votes ahead of the runner-up, Bill Kirby from the Ontario Liberal Party.
Veteran Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey was re-elected with a similar outcome, gathering 22,375 votes or 51.24% of the vote.
Overall across the Province, the PC Party of Ontario won a majority for the third consecutive term.
