Huron Shores Area Transit highlights Route 1 service between Sarnia and Grand Bend

Residents and visitors looking for transportation options between Sarnia and Grand Bend can take advantage of Huron Shores Area Transit Route 1 service, which operates year-round with three daily trips.

The route includes stops in Arkona, Forest, Kettle Point, Port Franks, Thedford and Wyoming.

Fares range from $6 to $12, while children aged 12 and under ride free when accompanied by an adult.

In Wyoming, passengers can board the bus at McKay Park at Toronto Street and Erie Street. Buses travelling to Sarnia depart at 10:41 a.m., 5:23 p.m. and 9:34 p.m. Trips heading toward Arkona, Forest, Kettle Point, Port Franks, Thedford and Grand Bend leave at 7:31 a.m., 2:14 p.m. and 6:34 p.m.

Passengers can also connect with Sarnia Transit through shared stops at Lambton Mall and Lambton College, providing access to destinations throughout the city.

Transit officials said buses are equipped with bike racks capable of carrying two bicycles, although e-bikes are not permitted. Wheelchair lifts are available for mobility passengers and properly identified service dogs are welcome on board.
