On March 5, 2025, Shirley Rose Kicknosway, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away peacefully at the age 71.
Loving daughter of Jennie and the late Sylvester Blackbird.
Beloved mother of Brandon and the late Nygel (Webster, surviving).
Cherished granny of Teanna, Emillee and Calvin, and great grandmother of Cody, Malakai and the late Mercedez.
Dear sister of Marguerite (the late Ralph) Jacobs, Ronnie, Terrance and Michael Blackbird and the late Thelma Blackbird, Noranne Doxtator, Lester Blackbird and unborn baby brother.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 6-8pm.
Her funeral ceremony will be held at the Sports Complex on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 1pm with burial at Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
