The list of candidates is starting to fill out for the upcoming Federal Election in the newly re-drawn riding of Chatham-Kent-Leamington.
MP Dave Epp will once again represent the Conservative Party of Canada.
The Leamington farmer was first elected in 2019.
“What an amazing first five hours of the campaign on Sunday,” Epp said on social media on Sunday, after the election was called.
“All across our 107 km riding, common sense Conservatives who support ‘Canada First, For a Change’ came out to show their support.”
Seamus Fleming, a 22-year-old student at the University of Ottawa, has been announced as the NDP candidate.
Trevor Lee is running for the People’s Party of Canada.
The Liberal Party have yet to announce their candidate in Chatham-Kent-Leamington. However, they did address the situation on social media on Tuesday.
“Thanks for your inquiries about our candidate for the upcoming election,” the Chatham Kent Leamington Federal Liberal Association stated on Facebook.
“We will be announcing our representative for Chatham Kent Leamington soon.”
Election day is April 28, 2025.
