Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 28, 2025, at approximately 8:26 p.m., a 63-year-old male from Wallaceburg was stopped by Chatham-Kent Police Service officers conducting a RIDE program on Industrial Road, Thamesville.
After failing an approved screening device test, he was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further testing, where he registered a blood alcohol level concentration of 150/150mg which is almost double the legal limit of 80 mg.
He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired (over 80).
The accused was released with a court date scheduled for April 14, 2025.
