Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 8, 2023, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a mischief complaint involving a 49-year-old female from Chatham, who was observed exiting a residence with a metal baseball bat and approaching three parked travel trailers on Colborne Street, Chatham.
The accused reportedly began yelling and smashing the windows of each trailer before briefly returning to the residence.
A witness saw the accused walking away from the scene.
The total estimated damage was $1,500.
Grounds were formed to arrest and charge the accused with criminal mischief.
The accused was later released on conditions, and was scheduled to attend court on February 10, 2025, in which she failed to appear.
A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.
On April 1, 2025, at approximately 6:35 a.m., the accused was located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service for outstanding endorsed warrants.
She was released with a future court date scheduled for April 16, 2025.
