In recognition of Wallaceburg’s 150th anniversary this year, the Wallaceburg & District Museum has launched a new feature on social media: ‘150 Facts, for 150 Years’.
Here is one of their recent posts:
“Before indoor plumbing, local Mark J. Ford was a bit of an unsung hero. For a fee of only fifty cents a barrel, him and his assistant (pictured) would clean and empty outhouses.
This photo was taken on the corner of Nelson street, if it was taken today the clocktower would be in the background.”
