Mr. John William Miller, a resident of Wallaceburg , passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 85 years.
John was born in Wallaceburg and was a son to the late Irvin and Ellen (Lewis) Miller. Beloved husband of Joan (Branton) Miller. Dear father of Marie (Stephen) Rabideau and Paul (Tracey Johnston) Miller. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Ashlea (Curtis) Brown, Tyler (Sarah) Rabideau, Mitch (Miranda) Miller and Jake Miller. Great grandfather of Jackson, Miller, Parry, Riley, Ember, Sloan and Case. Kind brother of Marilyn (Ivan Leach) Snelgrove, the late Barbara (surviving Gary) Wadsworth and the late Patsy (the late Leonard) Gallant. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
John started working alongside is father as a steeplejack at a very young age and continued on working at the Glass Factory in Wallaceburg until its closure. He loved the time he was able to spend at his cottage in Chapleau, attending jamborees and camping with friends and he was always willing to lend a helping hand but the greatest joy of his life was the time he spent with his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Johns love for his family was always evident. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the First Baptist Church, ( 99 Thomas Ave, Wallaceburg, ON N8A 5C8).
The Funeral Service will then take place following at 1pm.
Interment of ashes, in Riverview Cemetery, will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
