Crash in Forest leads to impaired driving charges

OPP officials allege: An individual has been charged with impaired operation following a collision in the Town of Forest.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision after the vehicle struck a pole at the intersection of Queen Street and James Street in the Town of Forest.

Minor injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Forest man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on June 23, 2025.
