OPP officials allege: An investigation by the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in charges against two youths in Warwick Township.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, just after 5:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP responded to a report of a potential threat to multiple individuals at an address in Warwick Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old from Sarnia and a 13-year-old from Warwick Township, have been arrested and each charged with conspiracy to commit murder contrary to section 464 of the Criminal Code.
Due to the provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identities of the accused cannot be released.
The accused were held pending a bail hearing and have since been released.
They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on a later date.
Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and do not believe there is a threat to public safety.
The Lambton County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
