The sky over Chatham Municipal Airport will be filled with the sights and sounds of history on Saturday, June 21, 2025, as Military Heritage Day returns with a fly-in event celebrating aviation and military heritage.
This year’s event will feature a salute to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands, with a special showcase of classic aircraft ranging from the 1940s to the 1970s. Visitors will also be able to view military vehicles, experience WWI reenactments, and enjoy offerings from local food trucks.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting event that will include so many unique aircraft while commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands,” said Jodi Maroney, executive director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. “Thank you to the organizers, the pilots and the participants for supporting the Chatham-Kent Hospice through your participation.”
General admission is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with entry priced at $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Children under 10 are admitted free. Early bird enthusiasts can access the grounds two hours before the general public with a $40 ticket. Advance tickets are available at Lasting Memories Flowers, the Blenheim Military Museum, Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport, from committee members, and at the gate on the day of the event.
Organizers note that this is a cash-only event. Proceeds will benefit the Blenheim Military Museum and the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
