With Father’s Day just around the corner, preparations are underway for the annual car show and charity barbeque.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, June 22 from 9 a.m.to 2 p.m., will take place at 80 McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed to Chatham Kent Hospice, continuing the tradition of giving back.

For those interested in showcasing their vehicles at the event, registration is available by reaching out to Cyndi via email at chansen@oaksrv.ca or by calling 519-627-9292.

The same contact information can be used to arrange a tour of the retirement village, where potential residents can explore the welcoming environment and various amenities.

What sets Oaks Retirement Village apart is its inclusivity.

Even seniors who don’t reside there have the opportunity to participate in fit classes and aqua fit sessions held in the facility’s pool.

Sydenham Current recently had the chance to speak with general manager Hunter McCallum about the wide range of activities and programs that help foster a vibrant and active community within the village.
