Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 7, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service were contacted by a community support agency regarding a 52-year-old male from Dresden who left his residence without authorization.
The individual was under conditions of conditional sentence order, which included GPS monitoring and a requirement to remain at home except for specific approved times and purposes.
He was reported to be outside of his approved location during non-permitted hours and without prior written approval from his supervisor, as required by the terms of his release.
The individual has an extensive record involving numerous offences, including theft under $5,000, Break and Enter, Trespassing, Possession of a Schedule substance II substance (Cannabis) and multiple counts of failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
Police attended his residence, where the individual admitted to breaching his conditions.
He was taken into custody and transported to the South West Detention Centre, where he remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
