Bail violations in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 9, 2025, at approximately 8:47 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report that a 32-year-old male from Chatham had approached a residence he was prohibited from attending under the conditions of his release order and probation order.

Upon investigation, it was determined that witnesses had seen the individual in the area before officers arrived.

The investigation confirmed that the court-imposed conditions required him to remain a set distance away from the occupants of the residence and not be within 50 metres of any place where he knows the occupants to live, work or attend school except when required to attend court.

After consulting with his Probation and Parole officer, the individual surrendered to officers.
