Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 9, 2025, at approximately 2:43 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence in Chatham.
An intoxicated 32-year-old female from Chatham had reportedly forced her way inside of a residence while a 36-year-old female also from Chatham was asleep.
The homeowner woke, and attempted remove the intruder and was assaulted in the process. The homeowner succeeded in removing her from the premises and contacted the police.
Officers arrived shortly and located the suspect nearby. She was arrested without incident and charged with the following:
– Break and Enter of a dwelling house
– Assault (Indictable Offence)
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was released with a scheduled court date of July 22, 2025.
