Breach of probation in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 16, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a breach of probation.

The complainant, a 26-year-old female from Chatham reported that a 29-year-old male from Chatham-Kent had approached her vehicle, and began pacing while shouting threats to her, in violation of an existing probation order.

The individual left the scene before officers arrived.

Upon investigation, supported by video evidence, the accused was identified.

It was also discovered that the individual was bound by conditions not to attend within 10 metres of the complainant and 100 metres of any residence, workplace, or school he knows the complainant to attend.

Officer located the accused, and he was arrested without incident for one count of Breach of Probation Order and one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm and one count of Failure to Comply with his Probation Order.

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently being held for bail.
